It's been the same story all fall. Cold Springs (AL) senior Ethan Edgeworth is on a tear.
The Tennessee commit ran 4:10.53 at the end of last month, which is still the national lead for the 1,600m. Two weeks before that, he clocked 8:53.17 in the 3,200m, also a national lead.
That was more than enough to earn him NPOTW honors in last week's voting, as he picked up 68.56-percent of the votes in a dominant win.
Following that red-hot first weekend of February, we have five new nominees from coast-to-coast. In a slate of meets that saw class records and multiple national leads, these five are some of the best of the best.
Just like last week, voting will close on Friday at 12:00 p.m.
Winners of our indoor NPOTW program will receive a Firefly Recovery starter kit from our presenting sponsor.
Email us at signings@milesplit.com with your address.
With that being said, have fun voting!
This Week's Nominees:
Xai Ricks, Long Beach Poly (CA): Making his 2024 debut, the Georgia commit went two-for-two, winning both the 300m and 600m at the California Winter Track & Field Championships. Clocking 33.85 and 1:17.6, Ricks unofficially sits at No. 6 and No. 1 in the nation for both events
JoJo Jourdon, Olympus (UT): Welcome to the sub-four club! Doing so at the New Balance Grand Prix, the Nike Cross Nationals champ made high school history, becoming the 21st American prep runner to break 4:00. Jourdon ran 3:59.87, which was highlighted by his blistering bell lap split of 58.87, just enough to go sub-four.
Bradley Franklin, Thompson (AL): Another year, another state title for the Samford commit. Franklin picked up his fourth state title, this time in the 60mH at the AHSAA State Indoor Championships, running a nation-leading time of 7.62. He also finished 2nd and 7th in the 60m and long jump, accounting for 20 total points.
Maddox Jordan, Noble (ME): Last outdoor season, Jordan's best time over 800m was 1:56.18, and he had only ran sub-2:00 on four occasions. So far this indoor season, he's already matched that total, also running a state record and national lead of 1:51.82. He's currently the lone athlete to run under 1:52 this season.
Quincy Wilson, Bullis (MD): At the 61st East Coast Invitational, the star sophomore pulled away from the field to cross in 21.02, the fastest time in the country. Not only is it an overall PB for him, it's also a new sophomore class record, breaking Tyrese Cooper's mark from 2017. He also moved past a few well-known stars in Noah Lyles and Grant Holloway along the way.

Week 1 Winner: Julian Carter II, Marion (AR)
Week 2 Winner: Josiah Tostenson, Crater (OR)
