Oklahoma High School Indoor Results
The nation's top-returning 400 meter runner competed in just his second official indoor meet on Saturday in Oklahoma.
The results were what you would expect.
Allen junior Jonathan Simms, coming off a history-making performance at the AAU Junior Olympic Games -- which included show-stopping efforts in the 400m, 800m and 4x400 -- and a Texas state championship, authored a U.S. No. 3 performance in the 400m on Saturday at the Oklahoma High School Indoor meet, posting a new meet record time of 47.60.
But what's more is that Simms wasn't finished.
He also doubled in the 60m, securing a top 15 performance of 6.81 seconds. Simms and his teammate, sophomore Caleb Smith, went 1-2 in 6.81 and 6.90.
