Tostenson Claims Third-Best Junior 3K Of All-Time
- - -
The Dempsey has historically been known as an indoor track venue that can host fast times.
Located at the University of Washington in Seattle, the track is fast, flat and 300 meters long.
On Saturday, that fact couldn't be more true.
Crater High School junior Josiah Tostenson recorded the third-fastest junior class time at the UW Indoor Preview, clocking a time of 8:08.70.
He became just the third high school boy in the junior class in history to cross the 8:10 threshold and was just three seconds shy of his school's all-time record of 8:05.17, which Tyrone Gorze ran last year.
Tostenson, though, has some time.
His performance now stands at No. 13 all-time in the record books.
