Our top stills celebrated everything from joyous moments to painful finishes to the most shocking results caught on camera.
Hundreds of thousands of photos were published on MileSplit over the year -- and across the U.S. -- and over the indoor, outdoor and cross country seasons. We tallied our photographers very best work over that time.
This year, we've set a few rules for our submissions. Photographers could only select up to three stills from the year, with a limit of one photo per meet.
We've continued to break our submissions into categories, funneling our work into areas "On the Oval," "In The Field," "On The Course," "Under The Lights," and over "Post-Race Moments."
