Since she was a young child growing up in the St. Louis area, A'laji Bradley has closely followed college and professional track and field and paid close attention to which athletes make an impact.
For the past few years, Bradley has looked up to two women in particular: Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the world record-holder in the 400m hurdles and reigning U.S outdoor champion in the 400m, and Abby Steiner, a three-time NCAA 200m champion.
Bradley is now going to follow that duo's path and attend the University of Kentucky.
Bradley, a senior sprinter at Pattonville (MO) High School, signed this month with the Wildcats. The women's program is routinely among the best in the country, particularly since head coach Lonnie Greene arrived before the 2018-19 season.
