Making massive strides this season, the Boerne Champion sophomore continues to produce faster performances. This weekend at Bear Branch Park in Texas being no different.
Placing 49th last year at NXR South as a freshman, Leachman shaved off over three minutes this Saturday running a new personal best of 16:07.60, and scoring her ninth win of the season.
The Texas star replaced her already second fastest national time by 18 seconds, edging ever so closely to Rachel Forsyth's No. 1 national time. Only ten milliseconds stands between the two elite runners.
The sophomore's time was close to a minute ahead of South runner up San Juanita Leal.
Coming off of a state win two weekends ago, the Flower Mound girls garnered another win on Saturday.
Senior Samantha Humphries led the lady Jaguars with her fifth place finish, with junior Alexandra Fox trailing close behind in seventh.
Flower Mound crushed MileSplit's current No. 4 team Lucas Lovejoy, scoring a total of 40 points going 1-2-3-13-21. Lucas Lovejoy dropped to third behind Southlake Carroll raking up 112 points.

On the boys side, Southlake Carroll also took another win home following their victory at UIL state.
Sophomore phenom and recent UIL 6A individual winner Caden Leonard, drove the team to the school's 15th qualifying win with his third place finish of 14:55.80, a new personal best.
With almost no pressure from other teams hunting them down, the Dragons floated to what seemed a casual win, scoring 34 points with a near 70 point gap ahead of Bentonville, securing a ticket to NXN.
Southlake Carroll will no doubt put up a show in Oregon against nationally ranked teams for the first time this season.
