Adam Burlison signed his National Letter Of Intent to become an Oregon Duck late Wednesday evening on National Signing Day, joining the likes of Anthony Fast Horse and Brayden Platt in the Class of 2024.
Before transferring to Amarillo High School this fall, Burlison, MileSplit's No. 25 ranked recruit in the senior class, earned two UIL Class 5A state championships in the 1,600m and 3,200m for Grapevine High School as a junior.
He started his high school at Lubbock (TX) and then transferred to Lubbock Coronado (TX).
While Burlison competed in the Grapevine uniform, he produced a record-breaking season where he clocked 8:54.47 in the 3,200m to set a new state meet record in May. He finished off his season at the RunningLane Track Championships, where he set a lifetime best of 4:03.85 in the mile.

Last fall, Burlison finished as the runner-up at the Texas State cross country championships and led the Mustangs to the team title in 2022.
He clocked a 14:57 personal best in the 5K and won the NXR South Regional title before he finished 56th at NXN.
Even though Burlison hasn't completed a race on the cross country course this season, he's on the football field as the team's place-kicker/kick-off specialist.
He enters his senior season with personal bests of 4:02 in the 1,600m, 4:03 in the mile, 8:54 in the 3,200m and 14:28 for 5K on the track.
