Top 10 Recruit Rylee Hampton Signs Officially With Georgia

The University of Georgia locked in on one of the nation's fastest 100 meter hurdlers from the 2023 season.

Houston Cypress Ridge's (TX) Rylee Hampton signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday in front of her family and friends to be a Bulldog.

MileSplit's No. 8 recruit in the Class of 2024 enters her senior year with an indoor 60mH best of 8.52.

She's coming off a strong outdoor season where she tied for the U.S. No. 3 performance in the 100mH with a wind-legal 13.18 seconds (+1.7) from Texas Relays. Her new personal best equals the top returning time for the 2024 spring season.

After a relatively quiet indoor season, Hampton showcased her talents outdoors.

In the 100mH, no one was able to match her speed and strength during the regular season. Hampton was undefeated during the regular season in the short hurdles, winning 15 straight prelims and final races.

At the UIL State Championships in May, Hampton clocked a time of 13.64 seconds to win her first-ever state title. She also was seventh in the 300mH with a 43.54.

At the USATF U20 Championships, she finished third in the finals with a time of 13.35 seconds behind Oregon freshman Aaliyah McCormick and Bullis School graduate Myla Greene.
