Running a fast 3,200m is one thing. Adding a fast 5K in cross country will put you on another level.
Carrying the fastest combined time among those two distances is Ventura junior Sadie Engelhardt.
In her only foray at the distance as a sophomore, Engelhardt clocked 9:51.49 at the Don Green Memorial Invitational in March.
This past weekend at the Asics Clovis Invitational, she ran both a meet and personal 5K record of 16:39.30, earning her the lowest combined time of 26:30.8.
Abby Faith Cheeseman of The Webb School (TN) follows close behind at 26:32.2, while Rachel Forsyth of Ann Arbor Pioneer takes the third spot at 26:35.9.
