Twenty-seven seconds.
That was the time that separated Abby Downin, Tatnall School's No. 1 girls runner on Saturday at the Great American XC Festival, from the team's fifth-runner, Katrina Endres.
What's more, the team's first five were only separated by five seconds, giving Tatnall a rather spectacular win against national-level competition in North Carolina.
That victory was inarguably the weekend's most shocking result, as the Tatnall girls ran past previously-undefeated Cardinal Gibbons and No. 6 Cuthbertson.
With a 27-second spread and a 17:56 average, this team is now one to be reckoned with.
Better yet? Tatnall is headed to the Manhattan College Invitational on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City.
A year ago, Carlita Kaliher, Katrina Endres and Katie Payne went 1-2-3 in the Varsity E race. Check out their interview above.
