Mercer Island's Sophia Rodriguez, collecting her fourth win this freshman season, earned this week's National Performer of the Week win.

At the Mook XC Invitational at Alderbrook in Oregon last weekend, Rodriguez ran a strong personal best, dipping under 17 minutes at 16:49.78.

She was the only girl to finish sub-17 and was the only freshman in the top five.

During the week, Rodriguez's efforts earned 58-percent of the votes and was named this week's National Girls Performer of the Week poll.

It's time to vote for this week's NPOTW. The poll will end on Friday and the winner will be announced next Monday.
