New York Hosts A Show-Stopping McQuaid Invitational

Frontier's Lillie Bogdan put down the fastest time of the day on the Genesee Valley Park course on Saturday at the McQuaid Invitational.
Bogdan was the only girl who broke 17 minutes for three miles as she clocked a 16:58 to defend her title in the large school race.
In the Bob Bradley Premier girls three-mile race, Fayetteville-Manlius scored all of its runners in the top 30. Fayetteville-Manlius was able to clinch the team title with 92 points while Shenendehowa racked up 106 points and Guilderland was third with 128 points.
Izzie Sullivan, who led this team to victory, finished fourth overall in 17:38. Her team finished with an 18:33 average.
Canada's Sophia Cino returned to New York to defend her title.
Cino shaved roughly 37 seconds from a year ago as she crossed the finish line in 17:13. Sophomore Addison Vellekoop and Kyleen Brady finished second in third in 17:19 and 17:28 respectively.
In the boys race, Fayetteville-Manlius' Nolan McGinn put together his fourth-straight victory. En route to a new three mile personal best, the senior clocked a 14:36 and led three other boys under 15 minutes.
Jake Passalugo of Fairport finished 20 seconds behind McGinn and St. Ignatius' Peter Spellacy was third in 14:58. Riley Hubisz was fourth in 14:58 as well.
In the premier's team standings, Fairport won the title with a 15:22 average and scored 107 points. Auburn was second with 139 points and the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks were third as they scored 149 points.
In the small schools race, Kevin Sherry of Coudersport completed the three mile course in 14:55, making him the fifth boy to break 15 minutes on this course.
