Liberty Common senior (CO) Isabel Allori ran away from the pack in the final moments of the Liberty Bell Invitational on Saturday in Littleton, Colorado, winning with a time of 16:51.7.
Allori, who ran a new career best 5K time and improved upon her debut of 17:21 in August, outpaced second-place Ella Hagen, who finished in 16:55.1, and Tessa Walter, who followed in third in 16:55.8.
Allori is a returning All-American from NXN and finished second at NXR Southwest last year. She also won a Colorado Class 3A state title last October.
Those three girls became the latest athletes under 17 minutes on the vaunted course and at Liberty Bell, which is considered a crucial early-season test in Colorado.
