Analysis: Aagard completed six races during the 2022-2023 season and all of them were exceptional performances on cross country courses across the nation.
In a head-to-head battle against American Fork at the Utah 6A State Championships, Aagard solidified the victory with a 5K time of 17:26 and won the title by 21 seconds. Aagard led Lone Peak to the team title with 30 points to American Fork's 57.
When she faced national competition, Aagard continued to excel. She became the NXR Southwest Regional champion with a personal best 5K time of 16:51 in Arizona before she finished 12th at NXN.
She will return as the fifth-fastest runner from the 2022 season.
Even though she had a quiet spring season, MileSplit feels that Aagard is a top contender for titles and putting out noticeable performances this season.
