Analysis: It was a busy, and successful, 2022 season for Humphries.
The Oregon commit finished as the UIL 6A cross country state champion and led Flower Mound to a team title.
Toward the end of the season, she competed at both NXN and Champs Sports Nationals. In Oregon, she was 13th and in California she finished in the top 21.
So far over 2023, Humphries has competed at meets such as New Balance Nationals Indoor, the HOKA Festival of Miles and Brooks PR. On the track, she went 2:06 in the 800m (U.S. No. 17), 4:46 in the mile (U.S. No. 35) and 10:11 in the 3,200m (U.S. No. 23).
As a senior, Humphries and the Jaguars are looking to repeat as state champs. Humphries not only has the ability to be one of the best athletes in Texas, but also as one of the best in the U.S.
