Analysis: With five wins and an All-American finish on his resume after his junior campaign, Griffith returns as one of the country's most accomplished runners.
How will the Pittsburgh-area athlete respond? We think this will be a career year for him.
Griffith has already opened with two wins regionally, though much more should be on tap for the Butler frontman, who won the Carlisle Invitational last year in a career best 14:49.30 for 5K. Griffith would finish second to Brian DiCola at the PIAA State Championships, but he picked up a centerpiece win at the Champs Sports Northeast Region, clocking a time of 15:20.90 at Van Cortlandt Park.
Griffith went on to finish 8th at Champs Sports Nationals and then followed with times of 4:08.59 in the 1,600m and 8:52.20 in the 3,200m.
