DES MOINES, Iowa -- Makeriah Harris didn't leave a seed of doubt.
The Run Fast Track Club athlete, a rising senior at Scotlandville (LA) High School, won her second national title this week on Thursday with a dominating run in the 100mH, clocking a winning time of 13.61 seconds.
No other athlete was under 14 seconds as Harris claimed victory, her fourth straight title at the discipline at the AAU Junior Olympic Games dating back to 2020. Harris also won the 400mH final on Tuesday.
Morgan Roundtree, arguably Harris' top competition, clipped a hurdle midway through, fell, and came through the finish in eighth.
