Last season at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, North Carolina, Michael Pinones had his best shot put throw in his career.
Pinones and his family traveled over 20 hours from San Antonio to make an opportunity to set big marks.
In 2022, he was able to set a new personal best of 67-6 just behind the North Carolina A&T stadium.
Since this performance, the Texas recruit won his first UIL Outdoor Track and Field state title in the shot put with a 66-11.5 best. He continued that momentum to the Nike Outdoor Nationals where he won his first national title with a 65-11 toss.
