GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Adrianna Haynes will have her time in the spotlight soon enough.
That being said, the middle-schooler from Georgia was off to a fast start on Friday after clocking the second-fastest 100mH time in the Class of 2027 in a time of 14.42 seconds at adidas Outdoor Nationals.
In doing so, Haynes, the middle school national champion, earned a top 15 performance in eighth-grade history and is now tied for the No. 14 best mark all-time.
The performance was also a significant uptick in her previous best, a time of 14.70 that was recorded in May at the adidas Atlanta Youth City Games.
Haynes is no stranger to track success, though. A year ago, she won a national championship in the 100mH at the AAU Junior Olympic Games with a time of 14.37 seconds.
