Day 1 of New Balance Nationals Outdoor is in the books. It was a solid day of competition as Monroe-Woodbury (NY) and Cuthbertson (NC) won 4xmile titles and Brian DiCola and Hannah Rae Shaffer were individual gold medalists in the 5K. 

Friday is the start of the second day of these national championships. Throughout the day, Philadelphia is expecting thunderstorms, which could result in lightning delays. 

From June 15-18, over 7,000 athletes from all over the country will toe the line, step onto the runway, or enter the ring to compete for a national title.
