Jace Posey: The High School Jumpman Set For One Last Hurrah

It wasn't so long ago that Jace Posey was known as the son of NBA champion James Posey.

But just weeks shy of his high school graduation to Houston Strake Jesuit in Texas, the four-star basketball recruit -- who's headed off to Texas Christian University in June to begin his collegiate basketball career -- has begun to build his own legacy and could even end his high school career with a lasting moment off the court.

The reigning Texas state high jump champion is the favorite not only to win his second Class 6A title this weekend in Austin, Texas, but he could also shoot for the overall high school national record of 7 feet, 7 inches, which was set back in 2002 by Andre Mason, a former Texas prep from Brenham.

Posey, currently sitting at U.S. No. 2 with a leap of 7-3, goes deep on that and more in this in-depth look at his high school career and his hopes heading into the Texas state championships.
