From the Philadelphia Eagle's football field to the straightaway of Franklin Field, Devon Allen defended his 110mH title in a nail-biting finish.
The Eagle's wide receiver lined up in the middle of the track to clear 10 hurdles on the backstretch of Franklin Field. Allen gently grazed hurdles three and four, which quickly enabled Brazil's Rafael Pereira to add himself to the mix.
Even under pressure, Allen was able to dip at the line just ahead of the rest of the competition with a 13.457 ahead of Pereira's 13.459. USA's Michael Dickson was third in 13.66.
