Let's just say Austen Diggs left adidas Track Nationals with a slew of new personal accomplishments.
It began in the 200m semifinals on Sunday on the final day of competition as the junior representing LC Express (TX) clocked 21.78 for a significant new PR at the indoor distance.
But Diggs wouldn't stop there.
He would first go on to shock the 60m field with a 6.92 new all-time best for a championship win. That gave Diggs an event personal best by three-hundredths of a second, surpassing his 6.95 mark from the Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic in January.
And just an hour later, Diggs would secure his second title on the national stage, shaving nearly four-tenths of a second off his semifinal effort during the morning race slate.
Diggs fended off elite competition from the likes of athletes such as Sahfi Reed, Jayden Mims and other top regional and national sprinters.
He ended his jam-packed Sunday as one of the only individuals to grab two titles on the day, let alone grab two significant personal bests.
