Dwight Phillips Jr., a high school junior from Pebblebrook and a four-star football recruit -- not to mention the son of Olympic long jump gold medalist Dwight Phillips -- opened up his 2023 account in style, clocking a nation-leading and wind-legal 10.29 in the 100m at the AJ Terrell Invitational on Saturday.
Phillips, a 170-pound running back who's committed to the Georgia football program, was a Georgia Class 7A state outdoor champion in the 100m last season in 10.43 seconds.
Maybe what's crazier?
The man had long sleeves on underneath his singlet.
