Shorecrest Prep's Sonoma Kasica continues to show why she is one of the state's top javelin throwers as the defending 1A state champion and top returnee in Florida from last spring. Kasica has come close to throwing over 140 feet this season including a 139'3.75" (42.46 meters) personal-best throw at the St. Pete City Championships.
