This past weekend, NCAA conferences throughout the U.S. held their annual indoor track and field championships. For the most part, upperclassmen dominated.

But several true freshmen also had impressive performances and could compete for placements at the NCAA Championships on March 10 and 11 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Below, we look at five true freshmen women who excelled across the conference championship landscape.

This list only includes women who competed at the high school level in the U.S. and were part of the high school Class of 2022. It does not include athletes from other countries.
