Since Mia Brahe-Pedersen touched the track at the high school level, she proved to be a competitor in the sprints.
On February 11, 2023, the Lake Oswego (OR) junior rewrote the record books as she clocked the fastest time by a high school girl in the 200m at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She sprinted to a 22.89 to surpass Olympian Bianca Knight's 22.97 best, which was set back in 2007.
In the latest In-Depth Telestration, Brahe-Pedersen takes MileSplit's Olivia Ekpone through every step and meter of this national high school record-breaking performance.
