In our latest edition of the 'Inside' series, we dive into the most recent performance from Claire Stegall from the Eastern Indoor meet. Over the weekend, the sophomore from Nolensville (TN) shined in the mile as she set different types of all-time marks and raced to a US No. 5 time.
She broke the indoor Tennessee state record in the mile with a 4:44.64 to take the victory. She was able to surpass the previous best by Jenna Hutchins who ran a 4:45 from the Millrose Games in 2020.
Take a look at our Inside Distance breakdown of Stegall's rise to be one of the distance runners in the country.
