Add another one to the Georgia Bulldogs' recruiting hall in 2023.
Zavien Wolfe, an elite jumps and multis talent out of Memphis Central (TN), signed with Georgia on Monday, as announced via social media.
Wolfe landed on the Bulldogs from a short list of programs that included Mississippi, Arkansas, Houston, Florida State and Texas Tech.
In 2023, Wolfe currently ranks as one of the top boys jumpers in the nation this indoor season, leading the country in the triple jump (50-0.5) and owning the fourth-best mark nationally in the long jump (24-5.25).
Both of those marks are all-time personal bests in the events across indoor and outdoor.
Wolfe has been a consistent star for powerhouse program Memphis Central throughout his high school career, but his breakout came as a junior in 2022 as he swept the horizontal jumps at the Tennessee Division 1 Class 3A Outdoor Championships and finished second in the decathlon.
Last summer, Wolfe also won a USATF Junior Olympic Championship in the boys triple jump and recorded two top-10 finishes in the long and triple jump at adidas Outdoor Nationals.
He remains undefeated to date in 2023 in the horizontal jumps and has also clocked PRs in the 60m and 200m this indoor season as a senior.
It perhaps comes as no surprise that Wolfe decided to join an elite jumps and multi-event program in Athens. He's the latest addition to a star-studded 2023 recruiting class that includes two of Florida's best in MileSplit's top-ranked recruit Micah Larry and 12th-ranked prospect Mekhi Gammons.
Currently, the Georgia men's track and field program ranks ninth in the nation for the 2023 indoor season, according to the USTFCCCA, and the women's team sits at No. 13.
