December is a busy month filled with cross country nationals and indoor meets taking place across the country.
There were some cross country runners who have already taken it to the track. Looking into the boys field, UMS-Wright's (AL) Charles Perry takes a hold of the US No. 1 time in the 1,600m so far this indoor season with a new personal best of 4:15.39 from the Holiday invitational #2 meet at the beginning of the month. The Alabama state champion ended his fall with a season's best of 15:28 in the 5K to win the AHSAA 6A Section 1 title.
