As athletes continue to make their indoor debuts, we continue to examine which athletes are back from the 2022 season and lead the nation in their respective events.
Looking at the fastest returners in the 800m event, there's almost too many notable names to count.
The top returners on the boys side include a slew of more specialized middle-distance racers, including Marcus Reilly with a leading returning time of 1:51.90.
On the girls front, there's the US No. 2 all-time high schooler at the indoor 800m in Sophia Gorriaran leading the way with a mark of 2:00.58, along with five more returners with 2022 season bests under 2:10.
