
The gap will be much closer between the Bolles girls and the rest of the programs in the 2A classification for the 2023 cross country after they will graduate their entire top 3 this spring, but it will still be a significant gap and the state's all-time great cross country squad in terms of state team titles at 14 should be still in a great position to earn #15 next fall as well as win a fourth straight in the process. Bolles will have an entire projected top 7 of returnees who broke 20 minutes for 5K this past season including several rising middle school stars currently in Sofia Stam (seventh grader in 2023) and Kayva Patel (freshman in 2023) to pair with varsity veterans like Estella Bruneau, Meia Popp, Elizabeth McClure, and Leila Bata.
This year's state runner-up Episcopal was super young including several seventh graders and should be in position to get on the podium again next fall, but another Jacksonville area private school in Bishop Kenny will be right on their heels again...
