THE NLI SIGNING PERIOD IS HERE -- At the start of the 2021-22 school year, Micayah Holland enrolled at Montverde Academy planning to compete in two sports, just like she had at Princess Anne High School in Virginia.
But last December, Holland quit basketball to focus solely on track. Now, roughly a year later, it's a decision that's proving to be right on the money.
As a junior last year, Holland showed a marked improvement as a sprinter, elevated to No. 5 in MileSplit's most recent top 50 recruiting rankings and had college coaches throughout the country hoping she would run for their programs.
