The Top 100 Boys Team Averages Currently This XC Season

Amid state championship competition and with nationals fast approaching, it's time to examine which programs stack up the best against other teams nationally based on averages.

On the boys side, some clear favorites have emerged.

Leading the way based on 5k averages, its none other than Newbury Park (CA) with a 15:00.42 team average, followed by Southlake Carroll (TX) with a mark of 15:08.10. In total, an impressive 12 programs have 5k averages under 15:30, and the entire top 100 holds team marks under 16:00. 

Looking at the 3-mile distance, a Tyrone Gorze-led Crater (OR) team holds the fastest team average so far with a time of 14:24.84. Not too far behind sits one of Utah's best programs this season -- Herriman -- with an average of 14:26.78 for 3-miles.
