The star from Herndon (VA) rose to the occasion at the Third Battle Invitational. Gillian Bushee, the University of Virginia, commit won the individual title and clocked the fastest 5K time in her cross country career with a 17:19.

From her efforts, Bushee continued her undefeated season and earned a 144 speed rating last Saturday.

Throughout the week, she earned 67-percent of the votes to be named the Girls National Performer Of The Week.

It's now time to vote for our next winner.

Here are the nominations for the National Girls Performer Of The Week Poll:

Nicki Southerland, Delta (IL): In a head-to-head matchup, Southerland clocked a 17:05 to win the IHSAA Cross Country Semi-State 2 New Haven title. 

Lily Cridge, Bishop Chatard (IL): The University of Oregon commit clocked her seventh straight win at the IHSAA Cross Country Semi-State 3 Shelbyville. She crossed the finish line in her third straight sub 17-minute 5K effort with a 16:58. 

Chiara Dailey, La Jolla (CA): At the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational, the freshman won the Division 3-4-5 team sweepstakes in a 16:58. She was the only girl that day to go sub-17-minutes for three-miles on ths course. She earned a 146 speed rating for her performance. 

Ali Bainbridge, Sioux Falls Lincoln (SD): The senior won her first SDHSAA Class 2A State Cross Country Championship title in 17:26. 

Emma Zawatski, Freehold Township (NJ): The junior clocked the fastest performance in her career at the Shore Conference Championships. She ran her first sub-18-minute 5K in her high school career to win the title in 17:09, while she earned a 145 speed rating. 

Kate Putman, Cicero-North Syracuse (NY): The NC State commit clocked the winning time at the SCAC XC Championships with a 17:30 5K to earn a 148 speed rating.
