After her No. 6 all-time meet performance at the Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Karrie Baloga told MileSplit's Olivia Ekpone that it was a career moment to remember.

"I just really kind of soaked up the moment and had a lot of fun with it," she said after her race. "I'm so happy. I felt really strong."

The Cornwall (NY) senior and recent University of Colorado commit accomplished what few other girls have done before her at the historic meet -- dipped under 14 minutes on the 4k course and defend an individual title from the previous year.

Clocking 13:55.8 in the Eastern States Championship field, Baloga successfully followed up her Manhattan title from last year and became the sixth-fastest girl all-time on the route.

With Baloga producing the meet highlight, the Manhattan College Invitational showcased a range of impressive performances and intriguing results.

Perhaps one of the most dominant performance came in the boys Eastern States race, where the fifth-ranked team out of Lincroft, N.J. continued what it's done best so far this cross country season: Win.

Behind top-10 finishes from Nicholas Sullivan (eighth) and Joe Barrett (ninth), Christian Brothers Academy (NJ) put its entire top five among the top 30 overall finishers to tally just 72 points for the team win. Corning, one of New York's top boys teams, finished over 80 points behind CBA in second with a point total of 159.

Individually, it was MileSplit50's 10th-ranked Devan Kipyego of St. Raphael Academy (RI) who won in 12:14.4, just seconds ahead of Centennial's (MD) Antonio Camacho-Bucks in 12:17.4 for second.
