Did the Woodlands get its groove back at Nike South?
Time will tell just how big of a win this was for Juris Green's squad on home soil, but at least on Saturday, it was salvo for a very competitive stretch of season for one of Texas' top teams.
The Highlanders capped off the meet with a 45-point victory over in-class Atoascocita, pumping in 112 points behind a 15:45 average.
Leading the way were three seniors -- Pablo Lesarri, Straton Miller and Ben Reyes -- who went 11, 13 and 23, and from there ... the team only had more upperclassmen.
The Woodlands' entire varsity lineup, in fact, were juniors or seniors.

Atascocita, meanwhile, had five seniors in its first five and saw Oliver Maldonado finish second overall to Vandegrift's Kevin Sanchez.
Speaking of which, let's talk about our guy Sanchez.
He's been absolutely rolling thus far in 2022, claiming his fourth straight win. Saturday also marked his second-straight sub-15 minute performance, with his win coming in 14:56.80.
It wasn't enough to will Vandegrift, which began the season with some positive results, toward a top three finish, though. Bridgeland was third in the team race, while Vandegrift was fourth.
On the girls side, it was a power punch from Flower Mound, which sliced and diced on the Bear Branch course en route to 43 points and a 17:51 average.
The performance once again showed that Flower Mound, led by juniors Nicole and Samantha Humphries, are not to be messed with.
Nicole was third, Samantha was fourth and sophomore Alexandra Fox was sixth, leading the Jaguars, who also placed junior Natalie Spangher in the top 16.
Impressively, Pearland's Madison Peters was first overall with a time of 17:06.1, snaking past Cedar Park's Isabel Conde de Frankenberg, who took her first defeat of the season in 17:08.5.
