Ty Steorts Captures Fourth Victory, Wins LIVE in Louisville Classic

Get to know Ty Steorts.
We have a feeling you'll be hearing his name a lot this fall.
Even before this weekend, the Hurricane (WV) High School sophomore led West Virginia for the 5K distance with his time of 14:56.40 on Aug. 27.
But on Saturday, he captured his fourth win of the young campaign, winning the LIVE in Louisville Classic with a time of 15:12.0.
The performance was impressive, considering it was run on the reputable Tom Sawyer Park course and featured a host of Kentucky's top athletes. He pushed ahead to form a 23-second gap on the next-best finisher, Winfield's Brayden Marshall, who was second in 15:35.6.
Thomas Nelson's Riku Sugie was third in 15:45.7.
