Hurricane Ian may have ruined a fair share of plans over the last week -- while it also forced entire communities in Florida to come to terms with its destruction -- but cross country rolled on.
National-level meets in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Arkansas forged ahead as some of the country's top talents stepped to the line and put together blitzing performances.
One team changed plans last-minute and managed a season-best performance. Another rallied across the desert and made a statement.
