Athletes are cruising, debuting and ramping up their efforts as we hit the mid-point in September.
In Illinois, Glenbard North (IL) senior Grace Schager put down an all-timer on the Lake Park course in Roselle, dropping the third-fastest 3-mile effort in state history at the Lake Park 'Harvey Braus' Invitational. That was also the fastest 3-mile effort in September history for a girls athlete in the state.
In Missouri, Sage Wild won the Olathe Twilight Invite, while Simeon Birnbaum opened to applause in South Dakota at the Nike Heartland Preview.
