Five years ago, Loudoun Valley may have been the first Super Team in high school cross country.
With a top five that consisted of Sam Affolder, Colton Bogucki, Jacob Hunter, Peter Morris and Kevin Carlson -- all five went on to compete at the NCAA Division I level for Power 5 schools -- the Vikings were arguably the most dominant high school team we had ever seen up until that point.
The Vikings began their season at PTXC, scoring 27 points, and then would go on to score victories at Oatlands (46), Great American (62), the Class 4A championships in Virginia with a perfect score (15), the Team Southeast Regional (72) and Team Nationals (89), securing the program's first national title.
That run all began at PTXC.
For this week's Throwback Thursday, check the video above for the team's performance, which included a 1-2-3-4 finish.
