Analysis: The OSU commit and the newest edition to the Valley Christian team enters her senior season with a loaded resume.
Before transferring to Valley Christian this season, Ping was a huge asset to the Desert Vista squad. She earned a title against stiff competition at the Desert Twilight XC Festival where she clocked a personal best for 5K of 16:40.40 and earned a speed rating of 149 according to Tully Runners. She also faced national talent at the Team Nationals Southwest Region meet where she also grabbed the victory.
En route to the Eastbay Cross Country Championships, Ping finished fifth at the West Regional meet and then finished 22nd overall at nationals.
Looking into the year ahead, Ping hasn't lost an AIA State Cross Country title in her career.
During the outdoor season, she ran four meets. One of the highlighted performances from her junior season was her third place finish at the AIA State Track and Field Championships with a 11:05 in the 3,200m. During the summer, she competed at the Brooks PR Invitational and clocked a 5:03 in the mile for 12th.
