Analysis: Last year as a sophomore, Forsyth was able to earn her first individual cross country state title. Along with leading Ann Arbor Pioneer to a team title, she also set a personal best for 5K on the Michigan International Speedway course with a 17:09.32.
After the MHSAA state meet, she earned the Team Nationals Midwest Regional Championship title and was seventh at the Eastbay Midwest Region Cross Country Championships.
Forysth concluded her cross country season with a 33rd place finish at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships.
At the New Balance Nationals Indoor, Forsyth, Cookie Baugh, Emily Cooper, and Sarah Forsyth, lined up together twice to break the national record in the DMR and in the 4x800m.
