No. 25: Naperville North (IL)
- - -
Analysis: This fall will mark a big season for Naperville, and maybe even a redemptive one. All the motivation the Huskies may need can be found in last year's state finish, which saw the girls fall to seventh-place in the packed IHSA Class 3A section.
For a team that's been a heavy-hitter over the last few seasons under Dan Iverson, that was a stark change in results. But with five returners back, including junior Julie Piot, who was 70th last year and enters the season as the team's potential No. 1, watch out for this squad to get back to familiar territory.
Biggest Question: Can Naperville North take all its potential and make their season a resounding success (and results-driven)?
With no returning runner having finished inside the top 50 last year at the state championships, potential will need to turn into results in 2022. That will need to change if the Huskies expect to compete for a title, no less a top-three finish.
