A new name entered into the national 800m rankings this week at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
His name? Tinoda Matsatsa.
The teenager from Germantown, Maryland -- with Zimbabwean heritage -- put down a new U.S. No. 7 time of 1:49.87 in the finals of the boys 17-18yo finals on Wednesday.
Prior to this week's performance, Matsatsa, a rising senior at had never broken 1:50.
