A little less than a month from now, the 2022 AAU Junior Olympic Games will commence in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The event annually hosts over 10,000 athletes from around the United States for a chance to win national championship hardware.
Historically, the AAU JO Games have also been a prelude to excellence at the senior level. Over the course of AAU's history, it has seen its athletes go on to legendary success. That has included the likes of Carl Lewis, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Evelyn Ashford, and, more recently, the likes of Athing Mu and Erriyon Knighton.
With the 2022 World Championships arriving on our calendars this month in Eugene, Oregon, we wanted to take a look at qualifying athletes who have ties back to AAU. Check the list below.
