There were 5 sophomore girls in Florida that broke 11 minutes for 3200 meters this spring led by Ashley Fitzgerald of American Heritage at 10:42 and Malinda Underwood of Rockledge at 10:43. The two battled it out twice over the distance to sub 11 minute performances in Gainesville at the Florida Relays as well as the FHSAA 3A State Championships.
