After a historic 800 meter race which saw Cade Flatt produce the second sub-1:47 effort in high school history at the Trials of Miles: Track Night NYC on May 20, the Marshall County (KY) senior scored National Performer of the Week honors.

Not much of a surprise there.

Flatt scored a winning-time of 1:46.51 -- a new U.S. No. 2 all-time mark -- scoring a fourth-place finish in a field that included Festus Lagat, Edose Ibadin and Vince Crisp. In doing so, he earned 56-percent of the vote and ran away with the NPOTW distinction, becoming our Week 9 winner.

A big congrats goes out to Cade on the honor.

Now let's move on to Week 10 action.

We had our biggest state championship weekend to date yet. We will recognize a winner every week in this poll, with nominations handed out on Monday. The votes will close on Friday and the winner will be announced the following Monday.
