A four-second deficit was not too much for Shamali Whittle.
On Saturday at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Nottingham-Hamilton High North senior absolutely ate up track en route to this incredible anchor leg in the 4x400.
The five-star Georgia recruit made up the difference on Justice (VA) anchor Peter Kashynski, who ran 51.96, with a blistering 47.16 final lap, taking Nottingham to the win in Heat 510 with a time of 3:28.83.
While the effort did not get the New Jersey program into the Championship of Americas, it left the Penn Relays as one of the top moments of the weekend.
