VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA -- Charlotte Myers Park (NC) sophomore Mary Bonner Dalton had herself a performance on Friday at adidas Track Nationals, logging the sixth-fastest sophomore 5K effort of all-time in 17:02.88.
The North Carolina native was incredibly consistent throughout the race, logging a ridiculous amount of near perfect 41-second laps before she unfurled for times of 40.36, 39.78 and 38.30 to finish out her last three times around the track.
Her time currently stands at U.S. No. 5 and it's the fifth-fastest North Carolina performance of all-time.
